Chistopher Persons for 48th Ward Alderman

Using an asymmetrical design based upon the classic typeface of Trajan, the contrast provides an active, modern feel indended to contrast with the the "typical" machine political signage.

The blue used is taken directly from the Chicago flag - invoking the symbolism of the greater city for psychologically familiarity. The 4 stars are also taken from the Chicago flag. In the flag they represent a variety of aspects of Chicago history, but for the Persons campaign they provided the bridge between past of "ward boss" politics to the future of progressive representation.
